MARY F. FURR  STUARTS DRAFT, VA… Mary Page (Fitzgerald) Furr, 89, widow of Paul Furr, of Stuarts Draft, died Thursday, June 30, 2016 at her residence at Blue Ridge Retirement Home in Stuarts Draft. She was born September 2, 1926 in Stuarts Draft, a daughter of the late Arthur H. and Emma (Massie) Fitzgerald. Prior to retirement, she was employed by King’s Daughters’ Hospital as a LPN. She was a member of Stuarts Draft Baptist Church. Family members include a daughter, Elizabeth Paulette Furr of Stuarts Draft; a granddaughter, Paula Christine Moore and husband, Rex McClure of Stuarts Draft; and a number of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas E., Homer, Henry, Leonard, and Marshal T. Fitzgerald and her sisters, Clara Fitzgerald, Gwendolyn Speck, Hattie M. Lucas, and Sarah Henderson. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016 in Augusta Memorial Park by Chaplain Karen Moore.
