Mary Elizabeth Guyer

MARY L. GUYER VERONA, VA Mary Elizabeth (Link) Guyer, 95, widow of Glenwood Abraham Guyer, of 183 Maury Mill Road, died Sunday, January 11, 2015, at Augusta Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born April 1, 1919, in Augusta County, a daughter of the late George Verna and Annie Elizabeth (Houff) Link. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Ingleside as a hostess. She was a member of Pleasant View Evangelical Lutheran Church. Family members include a brother and sister-in-law, Malcolm and Jean Link of Verona; a niece, Goldie Shiflett; and three nephews, Tom, Tim, and Jeff Link. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Smith and a nephew. A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, in Pleasant View Evangelical Lutheran Church by the Rev. Kenneth Price. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Pleasant View Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2733 Springhill Road, Staunton, VA 24401.
