Mary H. Harris

WAYNESBORO, VA…      Mary Janet Helmick Harris, 84, widow of William H. Harris of 1044 Bridge Avenue, died Friday, September 29, 2017, in King’s Daughters’ Community and Rehab Center.   She was born February 23, 1933, in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Arthur F. and Harriet (Campbell) Helmick. Family members include a son, James Calvin Harris of Staunton; four daughters, Brenda Lee Harris and Patty Duncan, both of Waynesboro, Edith Phillips and Elizabeth Bartley, both of Greenville; two brothers, David Helmick, Sr., of Greenville and Robert Helmick of Culpepper; 14 grandchildren; and a number of great grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in Greenville United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Bill Watson. The family will receive friends from   6 until 8 p.m., Monday October 2, 2017 in the Henry Funeral Home.
