MARY M. BELL VERONA, VA… Mary Belle (Moore) Bell, 97, of Verona died Sunday, April 8, 2018, in King’s Daughters’ Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born July 13, 1920, in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late John Alexander and Mary Ethel (Miller) Moore. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Bell was employed by ASR. She was a life member of the Staunton Augusta Rescue Squad Auxiliary and a very active member of Bethany Presbyterian Church. Family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Richard P. “Dickie” and Anne Bell of Staunton; a daughter, Peggy B. Guffey of Verona; three grandchildren, Amy Guffey Darby and husband, John, Erin Bell Kutsko and husband, Paul, and Brian C. Bell; and two great grandchildren, Whitney and Walker Darby; and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Albert L. “Rabbie” Guffey; four brothers and a sister. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church beginning at 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Friday, April 13, 2018 in Bethany Presbyterian Church by the Rev. John Craft. Burial will be private. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
