Mary Ann Mullins

MARY L. MULLINS STUARTS DRAFT, VA Mary Ann (Lipscomb) Mullins, 78, wife of Huey Washington Mullins of 84 Mullins Lane, died Thursday, January 1, 2015, at her residence. She was born June 24, 1936, in Botetourt County, a daughter of the late Henry Cline and Kathleen (Crawford) Lipscomb. Mrs. Mullins worked for Genesco, ASR, their dairy farm, and Mullins Slaughterhouse. In addition to her husband, family members include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Charles and Judy Mullins of Mint Spring, James Mullins of Stuarts Draft, and Wayne and Sandy Mullins of Stuarts Draft; a daughter and son-in-law, Gladys and Bobby Fitzgerald of Middlebrook; three sisters, Minnie Clark of Lyndhurst, Kathryn "Chubby" Campbell and Sarah "Dude" Sweet, both of Stuarts Draft; seven grandchildren, Rachael Shull, April Fitzgerald, Jenny Dameron, Jacob Fitzgerald, Huey James Bradley, Cody Fleming, and Cheyenne Roper; and four great grandchildren, Lydia Shull, Austin Fitzgerald Brown, Adeline Fitzgerald Brown, and Dylan Roper. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Christine Bradley, a sister, Polly Bradley, and two brothers, Jimmy Lipscomb and Kenneth Lipscomb. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2015, at Faith Worship Center by the Rev. Dennis Bradley. Burial will follow in Spring Valley Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be James Mullins, Charles Mullins, Wayne Mullins, Bobby Fitzgerald, Junior Bradley, and Jacob Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015, in the Henry Funeral Home.
