Mary Helen (Sensabaugh) Hanger

Mrs. Mary Helen (Sensabaugh) Hanger, 92, widow of Everette W. Hanger, died Monday, December 28, 2015 in Shenandoah Nursing Home. She was born on May 15, 1923 in Rockbridge Baths, a daughter of the late Jesse and Pearl (Firebaugh) Sensabaugh.       She was a member of New Providence Presbyterian Church. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Everett Sensabaugh and Jim Sensabaugh; and a sister, Dorothy Finch. Family members include three sons and daughters-in-law, E. William, Jr., “Bill” and Lucy of Staunton, Ronnie and Wilma of Middlebrook, and Donnie and Patty of Greenville; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and special neighbors, Diana Pittman, Bessie Lotts, Ann Heizer, Margaret Childress. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 2015, in New Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Betty Dax. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at her residence, 803 Wagon Shop Road, Middlebrook. Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
