Mary Dell (Shinault) Mizer

MARYDELL S. MIZER SWOOPE, VA Marydell was born May 7, 1927 in Swoope, VA, the daughter of David Kyle Shinault and Mary Alice Shinault. She died September 7, 2015 at Fishersville, VA. She graduated from Churchville High School and was employed by Reid's Store and White Way Laundry in Staunton. She was predeceased by her husband, Edgar Theo Mizer. She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church where she served as a treasurer for many years. She is survived by a sister, Phyllis Talbott, a niece, Carol Shoemaker and a nephew, Russell Roberts, all of Staunton. Also by numerous great nieces and nephews and by special friends, Oakie and Diane Huffer, Elwood and Sue Wagner and Wayne Wagner. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2015 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Luke B. Smith. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2015 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Building Fund of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 31, Swoope, VA 24479.
