Mary Berta Shultz

MARY C. SHULTZ STAUNTON, VA Mary Berta (Cason) Shultz, 98, widow of Felix Shultz, of 1119 Skymont Road, died Thursday, September 6, 2012, at her residence. She was born November 16, 1913, in Summerdean, VA a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Lou Eva (Sutler) Cason. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Shultz was employed by Woodrow Wilson Rehab Center. She was a member of Olivet Presbyterian Church. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by eight brothers; two sisters; a son-in-law, Robert N. Rodgers; and foster son, James E. Wiseman. Family members include two daughters and a son-in-law, Eva Lee Shultz Rodgers of Staunton and Mary Ann (Shultz) and Charles W. Goff of Winchester; a special sister-in-law, Daisy G. Cason; three grandchildren, Cynthia C. Rodgers of Staunton, John Robert Rodgers of Richmond, and Mark Stuart Rodgers of Staunton; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Kent, Kevin, and Kim, who were loved as family. A private graveside service will be conducted in Thornrose Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Monday, September 10, 2012, in the Henry Funeral Home.
