Mary Belle Sipe

MARY B. SIPE CHURCHVILLE, VA Mrs. Mary Belle (Allman) Sipe, of 507 Union Church Road, departed this life on January 30, 2013, at 7:15 a.m. She was our last caretaker. She was born on April 14, 1919 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Erasmus Pleasant and Bessie Keezel (Winegard) Allman. She was the last member of her immediate family. She was a long time member of Zetta Church. Mary was a homemaker and farmer most of her life until her illness took over. On October 28, 1940, she married Raymond Luther Sipe who preceded her in death on November 13, 1983. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Phoebe Jane Marshall; two brothers, Harry L. "Boots" Allman and John L. Allman; a special niece, Syvilla Waugh; and a "special sister", Charleen Sipe. Surviving family members include two daughters, Darlene Sipe and Pennye Sipe, both of Churchville; one precious granddaughter, Ashley Love Tait of Staunton; special nieces, Angeline Rexrode, Linda Eustler and Judy Woodson; and she had also found a special friend in Dorothy Sweet. A service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Henry Funeral Home by the Rev. John Staubus. Burial will follow at Union Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Cash, Scott Cash, Robert Rexrode, Andrew Tait, Jordan Wimer, and Archie Woodson. There will be no family night.
