Mary Louise Skelton

MARY G. SKELTON WAYNESBORO, VA Mary Louise (Gibson) Skelton, 89, formerly of Colonial Heights, died Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Avante at Waynesboro. She was born August 26, 1924, in Clay County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Ward and Edna (Knight) Gibson. Prior to retirement, she worked for the American Tobacco Company. Family members include three brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Betty Gibson of Myrtle Beach, SC, Russell and Ruth Gibson of Warrenton, VA, and Dana and Jean Gibson of Greensboro, NC; a sister and brother-in-law, Sue and John Willis of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert K. Gibson; three sisters, Dollie Lane, Janice Fisher, and Pauline Gibson; and her step-mother, Della Gibson. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor James "Jamie" McClanahan. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
