Mary Margaret Taylor

STAUNTON,VA. Mary Margaret (Alexander) Taylor, 87, wife of George T. Taylor, passed away on Saturday September 24, 2016 at Augusta Health. She was born on November 2, 1928, a daughter of the late Blanche (Alexander) Waddy. Prior to retirement, she was employed as a laundress at Baldwin Park in Staunton. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Mrs. Taylor enjoyed pottery, taking care of her pets, and most of all spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, surviving family members include two sons; James T. Alexander of Danville, and Clifford Waddy of Atlanta, Georgia; one daughter, Sylvia Marie Strother of Staunton; one sister, Elizabeth Lewis of Staunton; 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 23 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters; Enza Mae Alexander and Mary Katherine Alexander; one brother, Carl Alexander; and one sister, Thelma Waddy. All services will be private. The family will receive friends on Tuesday September 27, 2016 at 1603 Dennison Ave Staunton, Va from 4-6 p.m.
