Mary Ellen Wiseman

MARY K. WISEMAN STAUNTON, VA Mary Ellen (Koogler) Wiseman, 91, widow of James Erskine "Jimmie" Wiseman, of 512 Houston Street, died Monday, December 15, 2014, in Envoy of Staunton. She was born August 11, 1923, in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Harry Clay and Irene Virginia (Stoner) Koogler. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Wiseman was head cashier for Reid's Store and Shop and Save with 43 years of service. She was a member of Olivet Presbyterian Church. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by four brothers, Warren P., John T., Paul J., and Bobby W. Koogler; and a sister, Peggy Bradley. Family members include a daughter, Grier M. Wiseman of Staunton; a brother, Joseph K. Koogler of Staunton; and a number of nieces and nephews. All services will be private. Friends may call at the funeral home anytime on Friday, December 19, 2014 until 8 p.m. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
