MAUDE H. MAHLER STAUNTON, VA Maude Martelle (Hamilton) Mahler, 93, widow of John I. Mahler, of 12 Royal Drive, went to be with her Lord on Friday, July 6, 2012, in Birch Gardens. She was born April 7, 1919, in Kingfield, Maine, a daughter of the late Rev. Arthur J. and Lena (Williamson) Hamilton. In her professional life she was a teacher with a Master's Degree from Boston University. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. She was a member of Eastern Star for 50 years. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a brother, A. Wesley Hamilton. Family members include a daughter, Judith W. Broyles of Staunton; a son, Theodore W. Mahler of Camden, SC; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2012, in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens by her grandson, the Rev. Dr. Tim Mahler and the Rev. Wade Munford. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
