Maxine Woodward

MAXINE B. WOODWARD STAUNTON, VA Stella Maxine (Brooks) Woodward, 85, went to her eternal rest Thursday, January 31, 2013, at King's Daughter's Nursing and Rehab Center, Staunton. She was born August 5, 1927, in Augusta County, to the late John David and Florence (Chandler) Brooks. Prior to retirement, she was a housekeeper at VSDB. Surviving family members include three sons and daughter-in-laws, William D. Sr. and Bonnie Harlow of Staunton, Dale A. and Cheryl M. Harlow of Chester, Virginia, and Donald L. and Sharyn Goode Harlow of Stevensville, Maryland; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Cecil, Stanley, Erskine, Chester, Jack, and Carl Brooks; one sister Carmen Brooks Garrison; her former husband, William A. Harlow; and a special friend, Jack Armstrong. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, February 4, 2013 at Augusta Memorial Cemetery by Chaplin Murphy Terry. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
