MAYNARD LEE "MICKEY" FARRISH STAUNTON, VA Maynard Lee "Mickey" Farrish, 82, husband of Dorothy Virginia (Rodgers) Farrish, of 214 Montgomery Road, died Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at Envoy of Staunton. He was born April 1, 1929, in Craigsville, a son of the late Dewitt Talmadge and Mary (Hite) Farrish. Prior to retirement, Mr. Farrish was employed by Smith's Transfer. Mr. Farrish was the last of the charter members of Jollivue United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife of sixty-one years, family members include three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Ann Farrish of Waynesboro, Steven and Dreama Farrish of Stuarts Draft, and David and Ruth Ann Farrish of Staunton; two daughters and a son-in-law, Ann and Ed Lewis and Mary Farrish, all of Staunton; five grandchildren, Derek, John Lacey, Hannah, Lori, and Elizabeth; and two great grandchildren, Dameron and Oakley. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Farrish Timberlake; two brothers, Talmadge Farrish and Nathan Farrish; and a sister, Nell Nicholas. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2011, in Jollivue United Methodist Church by the Revs. Janet Knott and Randy Harlow. Burial will follow in Old Providence ARP Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Mike Miller, Harold Craig, Ricky Bryant, Drew Stanley, Jeff Organ, Derek Farrish, and George Blankenship. Honorary pallbearers will be Herman Cook, Payne Fisher, John Braton, and John Stoutamyer. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2011, in the Henry Funeral Home. The family extends their deep appreciation to Monique McEniry and Hospice of the Piedmont for their loving care of Mickey.
