Mildred Mae Bosserman

MILDRED S. BOSSERMAN STAUNTON, VA Mildred Mae (Smith) Bosserman, 83, widow of Billy Lee Bosserman, of 41 Woodcrest Road, died Sunday, October 5, 2014, in Augusta Health, Fishersville. She was born February 1, 1931, in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late John and Ethel (Link) Smith. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Bosserman was employed by Western State Hospital. She was a member of Jollivue United Methodist Church. Family members include three sons, Preston Lee Bosserman and wife, Judy, Curtis Alan Bosserman and fiancée, Kim Whitmore, and Duane Eugene Bosserman, all of Staunton; a daughter, Rebecca Earhart of Staunton; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Marshall Rankin of Mint Springs; five grandchildren, Jennifer Earhart, Lisa, Michelle, Melissa, and Rodney Bosserman; and a number of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Roger Earhart and a brother, Buddy Smith. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2014 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Randy Harlow and Janet Knott. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Preston Bosserman, Curtis Bosserman, Duane Bosserman, James "Bones" Doyle, Dale Jack, and Robert Fisher. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2014 in the Henry Funeral Home and other times at the residence and homes of her children.
