STAUNTON, VA . Mildred "Millie" Carmon (Brown) Clemmer, 53, of Staunton, passed away on January 8, 2015 at her residence. She was born July 28, 1961 in Staunton, a daughter of the late Cecil Louis and Erma Kathleen (Massie) Brown. She was in healthcare and worked at New Hope Detox Center. In her youth, Millie was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was a special mother who loved to cook for her family. She also enjoyed crafts and art projects, being outdoors, hiking, and animals. Millie was a friend to everyone; she never met a stranger. She is survived by two sons, Joseph T. Clemmer and Matthew D. Clemmer, one daughter, Rachel K. Clemmer, a sister, Anita K. Clemmer, father of her children, Thomas C. Clemmer, a dear cousin, Peggy H. Knowles and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and "Second Mother", Loretta C. Clemmer. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday January 14, 2015 at 11 AM at Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Russell Heinrich. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Henry Funeral Home.
