Mary L. Richardson

Mary Lou Richardson, 73, was called home on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Augusta Health in Fishersville, Virginia.

Mary graduated from the University of Virginia school of Nursing in 1973.

Mary devoted her working career to the medical profession, with over 30 years of service to others.

Mary was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Wise, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her father, Buford Foster Hubbard; mother, Shirley Swindall Hubbard; brother, Robert (Bob) Hubbard and sister, Dorothy Robinson.

Mary is survived by daughters Angela Richardson, Alanna Richardson, and Robyn Richardson. Grandsons, Jerome Cousins, Jr., Anthony Richardson, and La’Ron Durette, granddaughters Autumn Richardson, Aaliyah Richardson, and Keyona Cousins; one great granddaughter, Jasmine Ingoglia, all of Staunton Virginia. Her children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter were her pride and joy.

Mary is survived by brothers, Kenneth Hubbard of Norton, Virginia, Charles Hubbard (Christie) of Hampton, Virginia and Gary Hubbard (Pauletta) Wise, Virginia, a best friend and sister, Betty Mills of Wise, Virginia and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at the Clear Creek Park in Norton, Virginia on Saturday July 10, 2021, at 3 pm for family and friends.
