STAUNTON, VA… Michael Wayne Hoover, Sr., 67, husband of Edith Hoover, of Lee Jackson Highway, died Thursday, March 31. 2022 in Augusta Health. He was born on April 10, 1954, in Monterey, a son of the late Harvey Pleasant, Jr. and Margaret (Barkley) Hoover. Mr. Hoover worked in construction for many years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Michael Wayne Hoover, Jr. and Chris James Hoover; ten grandchildren, Xzavier Hoover, Tasia Hoover, Chloe Sweet, Itali Hoover, McKenzie Hoover, Devon Jessen, Calla Hoover, Ashton Hoover, Gage Hoover, Aubrey Cimino and MeMe Hoover; and a brother, Stephen Dale Hoover. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2022 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Luke Smith. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Scott Morris, Jeff Price, Ronnie Claytor, Nathan Worley, David Brougham, Jake Anderson, and Ronnie Johnson. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 in the funeral home.
