Michael J. Reed

Michael Jay “Mike” Reed, 63, husband of Terry Lee (Glenn) Reed, of Staunton, died Sunday, January 31, 2021 at his residence.

He was born November 5, 1957 in Staunton, a son of the late Robert Hunter and Anna Belle (Zimmerman) Reed.

Mike was a life member of the Augusta County Fire Department Company 10 where he retired as Captain with 26 years of service.

He was also a member of the NRA.

In addition to his wife, family members include a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer (Reed) and Victor Bussard and two grandchildren, Victoria and Hunter Bussard all of Staunton.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2021 in Thornrose Cemetery by the Rev. Greg Czerniak.

Active pallbearers will be Sonny Miller, Ryan Miller, John Craig, Charles Snyder, Scott Arey, and G.P. Fisher, III.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Sheets, Frank Smiley, and Pat Shipe.
