Nancy Lee (Anderson) Wilkerson

NANCY A. WILKERSON STAUNTON, VA Nancy Lee (Anderson) Wilkerson, 82, wife of Carl W. Wilkerson, of 209 George Street, died Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at her residence. She was born November 19, 1932, in Norfolk, a daughter of the late Harry Alexander and Grace Spruiel (Graham) Anderson. She babysat many children over the years and touched many lives. In addition to her husband, family members include a son, William B. Wilkerson and fiancée, Theresa Lauck, of Staunton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Garry Pruitt of Staunton and Brenda and Brad Nair of Verona; a sister and brother-in-law, Grace A. and Glenn Harris of Staunton; a granddaughter, Monica Snead and husband, Daniel, of Crimora; and a great grandson, Isaiah Snead. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Anderson, Jr. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2015 in Christ United Methodist Church by the Rev. Sarah D. Locke. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Curtis Harris, Ray Leitch, Kenny Miller, Edward Wilkerson, Eddie Back, Mike Wilkerson, Dr. Larry Evans, and Fred Wilkerson, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be the men and women of Christ United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2015 in the Henry Funeral Home. Special thanks to Hospice of the Shenandoah and Jacqueline Davis of Care Advantage.
