NANCY M. PASCAL OVERLAND PARK, KANSAS Nancy Miller (Markley) Leap Pascal, 97, wife of Roy Sherman Pascal of Staunton died Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at the Park Meadows Retirement Community in Overland Park, Kansas. She was born January 8, 1916, in Staunton, a daughter of the late Joseph Franklin and Annie Catherine (Oliver) Markley. Mrs. Pascal attended Robert E. Lee High School and Mary Baldwin College. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband of 65 years, family members include two daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and David Rush of Loch Lloyd, Missouri and Patricia and Anthony Sinclair of Prescott Valley, Arizona; a step-son, Kenneth Lee Pascal and wife, Nancy, of Fort Pierce, Florida; and a sister-in-law, Harriett Markley of Staunton. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Katie Mae Westerman, Eula Montgomery Irvin, Beulah Arlen Sherrill, Betty Jane Drinkard, and Jean Frances Coffman; and three brothers, Frederick William Markley, Randolph Arnold Markley, and Joseph Clifton Markley. Her first husband, Carl Leap, was killed in World War II. She was the last surviving child of Annie Catherine and Joseph Markley. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Thornrose Cemetery by the Rev. Won Un. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
