Nancy (Dull) Ratcliff

Staunton, VA...Nancy (Dull) Ratcliff, 82, wife of John Ratcliff, of 512 Grubert Avenue, died Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Augusta Nursing and Rehab Center.  She was born July 2, 1933, in Staunton, a daughter of the late Claude E., Sr., and Mary Ellen (Carwell) Dull.  She worked for many years at Western State Hospital as a charge attendant on the ward.  She was a member Bethany Presbyterian Church where she helped with visitation for those unable to attend services.  She was a mother to all and loved to send cards and letters to family and friends.  In addition to her husband of nearly 60 years, family members include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Claude E., Jr., and Sandra Dull and Jack L. and Felicia Dull; a sister, Betty Lou Dull; a brother-in-law, Randy Swisher; and a number of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia D. Swisher.  A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2016 in Bethany Presbyterian Church by the Rev. John Craft.  Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.  Active pallbearers will be Tommy Shipe, Bobby Shipe, J.W. Wood, Chris Pultz, Rob Clement, Mike Dull, and Mike Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be men and women of the church. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 in the Henry Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to Bethany Presbyterian Church, 2501 Fifth Street, Staunton, VA 24401.
