Nancy H. Scarbrough

Nancy (Hughes) Scarbrough, 72, widow of Everett L. Scarbrough, Jr., went to be with the Lord and her husband on Sunday, August 7, 2022.

Mrs. Scarbrough was born on October 10,1949 in Staunton to the late Harry and Genevieve (Hunter) Hughes.

She loved the beach and being together with her family. She was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.

She is survived by a son, Timothy G. Scarbrough (Wendy); two daughters, Kristen Smith (Kevin) and Amanda Stonier (Mike); a brother, Steve Hughes; three sisters, Connie Bryant, Paula Thomas, and Brenda Settle; grandchildren, Zachary Scarbrough, Savannah (Creighton) Howard, Gabrielle and Eli Scarbrough, Madilyn Smith, Andrew, Julie and Henry Stonier.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Hughes and a grandson, Bailey Scarbrough.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2022 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Colleen Swingle-Titus. The family will receive friends following the service.
