Neal R. Nelson

November 2, 1945 - February 19, 2022

Neal Raymond Nelson, 76, husband of Ellyn “Elly” Louise Marshall-Nelson, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Envoy of Staunton. Mr. Nelson was born on November 2, 1945 in Willmar, MN to the late Raymond and Genette (Schutt) Nelson. Neal married Ellyn on November 26, 1988. He was an antique dealer and owned Genette’s Antiques in Minnesota before retiring. He loved the Lord with all his heart and had a way of spreading joy wherever he went. He was a faithful member of Family of Hope Church, Harrisonburg. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a stepson, Jeffrey Marshall of Sag Harbor, N.Y. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Central and Western Virginia Chapter, 355 Rio Road, Suite 102, Charlottesville, Virginia 22901
