OLA MAE BROWN STAUNTON, VA Ola Mae (Bales) Brown, 79, of Staunton, died February 2, 2013, in Augusta Health, Fishersville. She was born February 3, 1933 in Glen Alum, WV, to the late George Walter Bales and Carrie Ettis (Kennedy) Bales. She loved to watch sports on television, was an avid reader, and loved the outdoors. She worked at IHOP in Norfolk along with her late husband, Fred Brown. She was a member of First Church of God. Family members include a son and daughter-in-law, James Edwin, Jr. and Eileen (Staples) Livick; two daughters, Sandra Kay Deal and Tina French; eight grandchildren, Daniel and David Deal, James III, Danielle, and Nicole Livick, Bruce, Amy Denise, and James Walter French; ten great grandchildren, Madison, Alexander, and Dakota Cash-Deal, Kaylee, and Braden Deal, Drake, Nicholas, and Cheyanne "Anne" Krauss, Noah and Brook Livick; two sisters, Thelma Brown and Shelby Jean Clark and her husband, Wesley; and one brother-in-law, George Davis. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Bertha Marie Davis. A funeral service will be conducted at 12 p.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Donald Simmons. A private burial will be held Thursday, February 7, 2013 in Colonial Grove Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. One hour prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2013.
