Orlean Holsinger

ORLEAN R. HOLSINGER STAUNTON, VA Orlean (Rynhart) Holsinger, 84, widow of Robert Eugene Holsinger, of 108 Rose Hill Circle, died Wednesday, October 15, 2014, in Brightview at Baldwin Park. She was born April 30, 1930, in Glassboro, New Jersey, a daughter of the late Rodney W. and Helen (Higgins) Rynhart. She attended Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania with a B.A. degree in French. She was a member of the Staunton Library Foundation and former board member of the library. She was a member of the Augusta Garden Club and taught Spanish early in life. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and the Alter Guild. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Ann Lesley Holsinger and Patricia Louise (Holsinger) Ryan. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, October 20, 2014 in Trinity Episcopal Church by the Rev. Dr. Paul Nancarrow. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Stuart Holsinger, H. Roller Shipplett, Jr., Carl Lind, and Men from Trinity Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 214 West Beverley Street, Staunton, VA 24401. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
