Patricia Mae Hays

PATRICIA C. HAYS RAPHINE, VA Patricia Mae "Pat" (Campbell) Hays, 72, widow of Charles Franklin Hays, of 5737 Borden Grant Trail, died Friday, December 13, 2013, in Augusta Health, Fishersville. She was born January 9, 1941, a daughter of the late Etta (Campbell) Allen. She was a member of Vesuvius Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Dylan Michael Hays. Family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Cyndy Hays of Greenville; two daughters, Valerie Hays of Spottswood and Kimberely Graves of Buena Vista; two brothers, William Allen of Four Oaks, North Carolina and Richard Allen of Charlotte, North Carolina; a sister, Connie Jones of Charlotte, North Carolina; and two grandchildren, Lindsey R. Graves and Lily L. Hays. Pat was a loving mother and grandmother. Her kind heart, wonderful cooking, and compassion for bears will be missed. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, December 16, 2013, in Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Matt Coiner. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday, December 15, 2013, in the Henry Funeral Home and other times at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, 5713 Lee Jackson Highway, Greenville.
