Patricia Ann Knopp

PATRICIA V. KNOPP STAUNTON, VA Patricia "Patsy" Ann (Vines) Knopp, 79, wife of the late Simon W. Knopp, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to be reunited with her beloved husband, on Sunday, August 31, 2014, surrounded by loved ones at Augusta Health. She was born August 6, 1935, in Staunton, daughter of the late Jesse Willard and Margaret (Hulvey) Vines. When Patsy wasn't found in her home moving furniture, entertaining guests, and decorating, she could be seen around town collecting antiques or dining at one of her favorite restaurants of Staunton. She was an honorary member of Olivet Presbyterian Church and a longtime member of Community Fellowship Church. Survivors include her sister, Jacqueline "Jackie" Vines Kester of Staunton; four daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie Jackson and her husband, David, of Fairfax, Diane Fridley and her husband, David, of Staunton, Jenny Knopp, and Studley Robson and her husband, Todd, all of Staunton; 13 grandchildren, Melinda Sutton of Johnson City, Tennessee, Matthew Parrott and Patrick Jackson of Fairfax, Joseph Jackson and his wife, Lauren, of Roanoke, Joshua and Jamie Fridley of Staunton, Jacob and Sarah Arbaugh of Staunton, Sutton Golaschevsky and her husband, Marc of Verona, Banner, Jonah, Micah Ruth, and Jude Robson of Staunton; seven great grandchildren, Zachary and Rebekah Sutton of Johnson City, Tennessee, Kaylee Fridley of Staunton, and Reese, Skylar, Simon Ephraim, and Sawyer Golaschevsky of Verona. A celebration of Patsy's life will be held at 1p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will be private at Thornrose Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, September, 2, 2014, in the Henry Funeral Home and anytime at the Knopp's residence, 421 Windemere Drive.
