Patricia Ann Whetzel

STAUNTON, VA Patricia Ann Whetzel, "Maw Maw" "Pat" , 68, widow of Ralph Woodrow "Pete" Whetzel, Jr., of Staunton, passed away Friday, March 20, 2015. She was born February 5, 1947, in Staunton a daughter of the late Everette Paul and Norma Evelyn (Bell) Walters. She was a sweet loving mother. She loved time with her family and received lots of joy from nature. Family members include a son, Jeffrey Carl and his fiancé`, B. J. Fragale; two daughters, Angela Renee Dinkle and Annette Michelle Lowery; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Brenda Walters; a sister and brother-in-law, Yvonne and Donald Berry; five grandchildren, Tabatha Wetzel, Derek Dinkle, David Williams, Jr., Roger Lowery, Jr., and Raven Lowery; and Ethan Fragale, who she also considered a grandchild; a great grandson, Ryder Neely; and a number of nephews, cousins, and friends. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2015, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Russell Heinrich. Honorary pallbearers will be Derek Dinkle, David Williams, Jr., Todd Michael, G. H. Propst, and Keith Michael. Following the service the family will meet at 4 p.m. at the Staunton Moose Lodge. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2015, in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to your local fire department and/or rescue squad.
