PAULETTE S. JOHNSON STAUNTON, VA Paulette Anne (Sensabaugh) Simmons Bartley Johnson, 66, wife of Donald R. Johnson, of 953 Donaghe Street, winged her way to heaven on Friday, July 10, 2015, after a battle with cancer. She was born November 20, 1948, in Stuarts Draft, a daughter of the late Rubie Glenn and Edith Elva (Puckett) Sensabaugh. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Robert Donald Morrison, Jr. and the father of her children, George William Bartley, Jr. She was a member of Greenville New Covenant Church. She graduated from Wilson Memorial High School and Wilson Memorial LPN school. She later graduated from Blue Ridge Community College with a RN degree. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Johnson was employed as an RN at King's Daughter's Hospital, Augusta Medical Center, and Home Health. She had a special love for all animals, enjoyed bowling, camping with her family, and watching NASCAR and wrestling. In addition to her husband, family members include two sons and daughters-in-law, Russ Allen and Jessica Bartley and Christopher Keith and Erin Bartley; two step-daughters, Angela Lynn Brooks and husband, Danny and Lucinda Jane Johnson; a foster daughter, Tracy Lynn Carroll; a sister and brother-in-law, Glenna Evonne and Earl Miller; a brother, Nathan Leon Sensabaugh of Maryland; a special brother, Robert Morrison; and 17 grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 12 noon Saturday, July 18, 2015, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Don Cash and Harold W. "Pete" Campbell. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 12 noon prior to the service in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Duke University Oncology Network, 3100 Power Blvd, Suite 600, Durham, NC 27707. A special thanks to Dr. Patrick Judson and the nurses at Duke Cancer Center.
