Pauline Grace Crone

PAULINE V. CRONE SOMERSET, VA….Pauline Grace (Varner) Crone, 85, widow of Richard Hahn Crone, of Somerset and formerly of Skymont Drive, Staunton, died Saturday, November 19, 2016, in the Culpeper Hospital. She was born April 24, 1931, in Highland County, a daughter of the late Raymond and Reba (Botkin) Varner. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Crone was employed by Tommies Pajama Factory with 40 years of service. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Smith; and a sister, Violet Bradley Jarvis. Family members include a daughter and a son-in-law, Linda and Lee Nash of Somerset; two brothers, Frank Varner and Robert Varner; two sisters, Helen McLear and Lucille Biby, all of Staunton; three grandchildren, Rob Nash, Michelle Beasley, and Donald Smith; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 12 noon Wednesday, November 23, 2016, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Clay Sterrett. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Rob Nash, Jeffrey Beasley, Mike Anderson, and Savino Padrone. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
