PHYLLIS M. BAKER CHURCHVILLE, VA Phyllis Mae Goodall Baker, 80, widow of Howard Thomas Baker, formerly of Churchville, passed away Friday, June 1, 2012, at Augusta Health, Fishersville. She was born March 6, 1932, in Caldwell, WV a daughter of the late L. B. and Mary Louis (Shot) Goodall. Mrs. Baker retired from Staunton Public Schools and worked for many years at Perdue in Bridgewater. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tana Lee Thompson. Family members include two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and C. Scott McCormick of Staunton and Sandra and James Liptrap of Bridgewater; a son and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Margaret Baker of Staunton; a sister, Emogene Butler; a half-brother, Leonidaes Goodall; nine grandchildren, Stephen McCormick and his fiance`, Katy Patterson, of Staunton, Thomas McCormick and his wife, April, of Waynesboro, Benjamin Baker and his wife, Wendy, of Charlottesville, Michael Baker and his wife, Christy, of Staunton, Sean Liptrap of Bridgewater, Carri Bardhoshi and her husband, Raf Bardhoshi, of Bridgewater, Ashlea Liptrap and Jared Craig, of Bridgewater, Kelly Thompson of Churchville, Brian Thompson and his wife, Jessica, of Swoope; eight great-grandchildren, Blayke Liptrap, Allyson Baker, Jake Gluba, Lucas Gluba, Jack Baker, Lauren Baker, Dylynn Thompson, and Lauren Carter; a niece, Nancy Banks; a nephew, Wayne Butler. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Augusta Memorial Park by the Rev. James Liptrap. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons, Stephen McCormick, Thomas McCormick, Benjamin Baker, Michael Baker, Sean Liptrap, and Brian Thompson. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
