Phyllis P. Burner

Phyllis Page (Anderson) Burner, 85, widow of Mr. Charles Buchanan Burner, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, in Royal Care Senior Living.

She was born on August 30, 1936 in Staunton, a daughter of the late Lester Gilbert and Sarah Katherine (Nutty) Anderson.

Mrs. Burner retired from American Safety Razor with 35 years of service. She was a member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Burner is survived by a daughter, Terry L Price; a son, Douglas W. Burner; and three grandchildren, Katie Wilson (Brian), Jeremy Burner (Kodi), and Jennifer Robichaux (Eric); five great-grandchildren, Nolan Burner, Reed Burner, Marshall Wilson, Buckey Wilson, and Grayson Robichaux; a brother-in-law, Raymond Parnell; and a sister-in-law, Ellen Anderson.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, William, Lester, Robert, Charles, and Donald Anderson; four sisters, Maxine Moore, Jean Harshbarger, Shirley Johnson and Peggy Parnell; and a son-in-law, Wayne Price.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Wayne Hills Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. Jamie McClanahan.

Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Henry Funeral Home.
