Polly B. Lunsford

RAPHINE, VA...  Polly (Buchanan) Lunsford, 85, widow of James Charles Lunsford, 87, of Raphine Road, died Saturday, April 16, 2016 in Shenandoah Nursing Home.  She was born on November 14, 1930 in Brownsburg, Virginia, a daughter of the late Guy Homer Buchanan and Gertie (Lotts) Buchanan.  Mrs. Lunsford was a waitress and cook at White’s Truck Stop for 20 years.  She is survived by two sons, Sam Lunsford and his wife, Sharon, of Raphine and Ed Lunsford of Stuarts Draft; two grandchildren, Samuel Lunsford, Jr. and Polly V. Clark; three great grandchildren; three brothers and their wives, Frank and Ila Buchanan, Russell and Doris Buchanan and Charles and Judy Buchanan and two sisters, Peggy Morrison and Dorothy Patterson.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.  A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2016 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Randy Clark.  Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2016 in the funeral home.
