    October 9, 1962 - April 19, 2012

    RANDY E. DALE WAYNESBORO, VA Randy Eugene Dale, 49, of Waynesboro, died Thursday, April 19, 2012, in the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville. He was born October 9, 1962, in Staunton, a son of Charlotte (Gilbert) Dale of Staunton and the late Bobby Eugene Dale. Mr. Dale graduated in 1987 from the Medical College of Virginia School of Pharmacy Virginia Commonwealth University where he received a B.S. in Pharmacy. He received his Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree from Ohio Northern University School of Pharmacy in 2001. He became certified in Geriatric Pharmacist through ASCP in 2005. He began his career as a pharmacist/assistant manager of CVS Pharmacy from 1987 - 1988, was pharmacist for Williamson Drug Company from 1988- 2000, was Director of Clinical Services, State of Virginia, Omnicare Acquisitions from 2000 - 2009, was Director of Pharmacy Kroger Corporation from March 2010 until July 2011. He was currently employed by University of Virginia Transitional Care Hospital as a Clinical Pharmacist/TCH Leadership Team. Randy was an avid golfer, car enthusiast, woodworker, and landscaper. In addition to his mother, family members include a brother, Cory Dale of Fishersville; his fiance, Janet Vailes; an uncle and aunt, Dick and Talitha Hippeard; close friend, Paula Lotts; several cousins; and his beloved faithful cats, Kobe, Cydney, Newt, and Callye Marie. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday (April 25, 2012) at Second Presbyterian Church, 201West Frederick Street, Staunton, by the Rev. Dr. Daniel S. Williams. Active pallbearers will be Terry McGuire, Dr. Michael Hanna, Jr., Dr. Stevan Hanna, Cory Dale, Tim Randolph, Lance Hoover, and Jason Robson. Honorary pallbearers will be fellow employees at University of Virginia Hospital. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening (April 24, 2012) in the Henry Funeral Home. There will be no public viewing. Memorials may be made to the Best Friends Animal Society, at www.bestfriends.org.
