RAYMOND G. LOGWOOD WAYNESBORO, VA… Raymond Garrett Logwood, 94, of Staunton, passed peacefully at Oak Grove Manor on January 8, 2017. He was born on March 18, 1922 in Covington. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Celia Crowder Logwood. Raymond was a WWII U.S. Army Air veteran and worked at the paper mill in Covington after his military service. He retired from ASR in Verona in 1984. He is survived by his three sons, Donald (Donnie) Logwood of Greenville, Allen (Gene) Logwood (Brenda) of Staunton, and Roger D. Logwood (Kathy) of Greenville; grandchildren, Melissa Brantley of Hubert, NC, Beverley Logwood (Bryant) of Staunton, Ricky Logwood of Salisbury, NC, and Jenni Kitchen (Jeff) of Fishersville; and great grandchildren, Thomas, April, Samantha, Olivia, Riley, Leah, Sydney, and Piper. A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2017 in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2017 in the Henry Funeral Home.
