Raymond Edward Wilhelm

STAUNTON, VA Raymond "Ray" Edward Wilhelm, 64, of Staunton died Thursday, January 22, 2015 at his residence. He was born on February 20, 1950 in Boyce, the son of the late William Everett, Sr. and Grace Elizabeth (Martin) Wilhelm. Mr. Wilhelm served honorably in the United States Marine Corps. He was a decorated Vietnam veteran and a life member of the 3rd Recon Association. He was also a talented carpenter. He is survived by a brother, William Everett Wilhelm, Jr. and his wife, Mary, of Staunton; two sisters, Mary E. Wilhelm of Staunton, and Virginia E. Cash and her husband, Dudley, of Lexington; a niece; many nephews; great nieces and nephews; a great- great niece; and great-great nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2015 in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens by Dr. Steve Traylor. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
