Rheta Virginia (Hostetter) Slough

MT. SOLON, VA...Rheta Virginia (Hostetter) Slough, 84, wife of Jimmy H. Slough, of Mt. Solon, died Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Shenandoah House. She was born March 10, 1934 in Collierstown, a daughter of the late Graham and Florence (Clark) Hostetter.  Prior to retirement, she was a hairdresser. Rheta was a member of Grace Baptist Church.  In addition to her husband, family members include a son, Dwight H. Slough of Mt. Solon; a daughter, Linda D. Slough of Roanoke; a sister, Claire Lilly of Richmond; a special caregiver, Norma Liptrap; and a number of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a son, Larry D. Slough and two sisters, Mary Jane Camden-Moore and Ruby H. Berg.  A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2018 in Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens by Pastor Mark Mays.  The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018 in the Henry Funeral Home.
