RICHARD L. HARLOW STAUNTON, VA Richard Lee Harlow, 83, husband of Wilma (Moats) Harlow, of 1906 First Street, died Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at his residence. He was born May 22, 1930, in Staunton, a son of the late Homer Leonard and Sally (Brown) Harlow. Mr. Harlow was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Alcoa. He had also worked for Crompton as a Personnel Manager. He was a member of Dulceteers Quartet and Marquis Memorial United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife, family members include two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy and Steve McGovern and Pam and Steve Kisamore; three grandchildren, Erin McGovern, Amber Hunt, and Shelby Kisamore; five great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2014, in Marquis Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Robert W. Sharp. Burial will be private in Thornrose Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2014, in the Henry Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the food pantry at Marquis Memorial United Methodist Church, 1614 W. Beverley Street, Staunton, VA 24401.
