STAUNTON, VA… Richard “Dick” Joseph Heinrich, 78, of 1081 New Hope Road, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016.  He was born on March, 4, 1938 in Washington, DC, a son of the late Richard G.A. and Elizabeth Josephine (Bucher) Heinrich.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Heinrich. Dick attended St. John’s Military Academy and the University of Maryland.  He served in the U.S. Navy and was very proud of his of time with the Seabees.  He owned Coinop Laundromats in Washington, DC.  He was also the owner of Shenandoah Recycling.  He began his business as Dick’s Disposal in the late sixties. He was also the owner of Heinrich Enterprises. He was a member of the Harley Owner Group, president of the B.C. Club, and a member of the Staunton Elks. He is survived by his partner of 26 years, Sandra Landes; four sons, Richard “D.J.”, Stephen, David, and Russell and his wife, Pam; Neil Landes and Sara Landes; a brother, Robert “Dewey” Heinrich and wife, Tammy, of Prince Frederick, MD; nine  grandchildren, David James, Alison, Brandon, Samantha, Cierra, Nicole, Emily, Katelyn and Kaleigh; four great grandchildren, Gabriel, Elizabeth, Melody and Regan; and nieces, Angela Bates, Rebecca Ann Heinrich and Marissa Heinrich. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 27, 2016 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Russell Heinrich. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2016 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to USSIllinois.org in the name of Forrest Heinrich or to Team Red, White & Blue at www.teamrwb.org .
