Richard Gae Waggy, Sr.

RICHARD G. WAGGY, SR. GROTTOES, VA Richard Gae Waggy, Sr., 80, husband of Joyce Ann (Hartman) Waggy of 2982 Rockfish Road, died Monday, June 9, 2014, at his residence. He was born September 15, 1933, in Reeds Creek, WV, a son of the late Floyd and Margie (Phares) Waggy. Prior to retirement, he was employed by DuPont in the maintenance department. In addition to his wife, family members include two sons, Richard G. Waggy, Jr. and wife, Sophia, of Duluth, Georgia and Jonathan E. Waggy and wife, Samantha, of New Hope; a daughter, Deborah K. Raines and husband, Charlie, of Weyers Cave; four grandchildren, Jason Waggy of New Hope, Captain Jennifer Costello, MD and husband, James, of Silver Spring, MD, Jessica Raines of Rosslyn, VA, and Matthew Raines of Blacksburg, VA; a brother, Wayne Waggy of Reeds Creek, WV; and a sister, Ruby Kimble of Mt. Airy, Maryland. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 13, 2014, in Augusta Memorial Park by the Rev. Jamie McClanahan. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
