ROBERT P GROAH STAUNTON, VA…Robert Perry Groah, 84, husband of Betty Jo (Haire) Groah, of 1317 Blandford Street, died Sunday, March 27, 2016, at his residence. He was born June 15, 1931 in Vesuvius, a son of the late Robert S. and Mary Margaret (Mohler) Groah. Mr. Groah was a veteran of the U. S. Army. Prior to retirement, he was employed by ASR with 36 years of service. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.In addition to his wife, family members include a daughter Christy Groah of Staunton; three grandchildren, Travis Hudson, Dylan Hudson, and Zachary Hudson; a sister-in-law, Mildred Haire; a niece, Gail Long; two nephews, Brady Haire, Jr. and Donald Gray Austin; a cousin, Melvin Groah; and special friends, Jack, Gloria, Leslie, Megan, Lucky, Ray, Jeff and Michelle and their children, Bub, and Michelle, Judith, and Pat. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2016, at Calvary Baptist Church by Pastor Bobby Campbell. Burial will be private.
