Robert "Bobby" Lobdell

Churchville, VA… Robert “Bobby”  Lobdell, 66, husband of Debbie Lobdell, died Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Augusta Health. He was born on October 21, 1952 in New York to the late George William Lobdell, Sr. and Isabell Irene (Brockhum) Lobdell. Mr. Lobdell was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He retired after 23 years of service as a crew leader with Columbia Gas.  In addition to his wife of 32 years, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Brad Bahle of Staunton; a son, Billy Lobdell; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Joyce and Todd Ross of Staunton and Helen Colombe of New York; a brother, George Lobdell, Jr. of Johnstown, New York; a special grandchild,  Katelyn Corbett and numerous grandchildren; two sisters-in-law and their spouses, Lindy and Dale Greaver and Sue and Gary Chapman; a brother-in-law and his spouse, Danny and Pat Gayhart; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Delbert Lobdell and a sister, Karen Platt. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 28, 2018 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. David Taylor. Visitation will follow in the Chapel after the service. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
