ROXIE G. MOORE STAUNTON, VA Roxie Gay Moore, 94, formerly of New Hope, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013, in Staunton. She was born December 19, 1918, in Rockingham County, a daughter of the late Guy A. and Nina (Diehl) Trobaugh. She was a lifelong member of Middle River Church of the Brethren and a 1936 graduate of New Hope High School. Roxie was a homemaker who excelled in cooking and who dearly loved her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul William Moore. They were married on September 17, 1936. Family members include two daughters, Betty M. Sellers of Staunton and Judy M. Fitzgerald of Fort Defiance; four grandchildren, Cindy S. Weaver, Kathy F. Bishop, Michael W. Sellers, William M. Fitzgerald; and seven great grandchildren, Heather Weaver, Adam Bishop, Cameron, Carson, and Caitlin Sellers, McKina and Miles Fitzgerald; and a great, great grandchild, Kaila Broderick. A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m., Sunday, January 27, 2013, in the Middle River Church of the Brethren by the Rev. Scott Duffey. The interment will be private. There will be no public viewing or visitation. The family would like to thank the staff at King's Daughter's Community Health and Rehab Center and also Legacy Hospice.
