ROY K. DOYLE STAUNTON, VA Roy Kyle Doyle, 80, husband of Anna Eary Doyle, of 1009 Baylor Street, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at his residence. He was born December 26, 1930, in Highland County, a son of the late Ira Ernest and Emma May (Folks) Doyle. Mr. Doyle was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Smiths Transfer and Staunton Correctional Center. He was a member of Cherryvale United Methodist Church and Staunton VFW Post 2216. In addition to his wife of 50 years, family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Richard, Sr., and Cindy Doyle of Stuarts Draft; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Dallas and Sharon Doyle of Monterey and Dewey Doyle of Flat Rock, NC; two sisters, Thelma Hull of Monterey and Velma Doyle of Franklin, WV; three grandchildren, Nicki Doyle Mattox and her husband, Nathan, Richard Doyle, Jr., and Jordan Doyle; a great grandson, Ethan Kyle Mattox. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Clarence, Richard, Earnest, and Carl Doyle; and a sister, Mable Trainer. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2011, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Brett Perrett. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be David Gregory, James Bayne, John Simmons, John Wolfe, Ben Zinkhan, and George Varner. Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews and friends from the Barn. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2011, in the funeral home and other times at the residence. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Shenandoah, P.O. Box 215, Fishersville, VA 22939.
