Roy Nelson Kyle

ROY N. KYLE STAUNTON, VA Roy Nelson Kyle, 73, of Staunton, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Augusta Health. He was born March 1, 1941, in Staunton, a son of the late Glenn and Pearl (Shipe) Kyle. Roy was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Prior to retirement, Roy owned Kyle's Amoco. He was a member of Fishersville United Methodist Church, the Staunton Moose, and VFW Post #2216. He was preceded in death by a son, Chad Anthony Kyle. Family members include the mother of his children, Sandy Kyle; a son and daughter-in-law, Troy Kyle and Becky of Staunton; a daughter, Misty Kyle of Waynesboro; a sister, Glenna Meeks of Crozet; three grandchildren, Justin Kyle, Kristen Crawford and her husband, Donnie, and Amber Gregory; and a great grandson, Hunter Crawford. A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2014 in Oak Lawn by the Rev. Goldie Clarke. Military rites will be provided by VFW Post #2216 The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2014 in the Henry Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Staunton Augusta Rescue Squad.
