Russell Liggett Huntley

RUSSELL L. HUNTLEY STAUNTON, VA- Russell Liggett Huntley,75, husband of Shelvey "Pat" (Holliday) Huntley, of 1815 Vinson St., Staunton, went to be with the Lord Sunday January 22, surrounded by his family at his residence. He was born May 29, 1936 in Augusta County, a son of the late Henry Floyd and Abigail (Snead) Huntley. He retired from Wilson Trucking Corp. after 28 years of service. He was a member of Grubert Avenue Church of God. Family members include two sons, Russell Clinton Huntley of Staunton, Ronald Floyd Huntley of Crimora; a daughter and son-in-law, Shelvey and George Lanum Jr. of Staunton; a sister, Ferraba Collier of Staunton; eight grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Arthur Huntley; and three sisters, Dorothy Stone, Kitty Grant, and Beatrice Beyers. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday January 25, at 11 a.m. in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jerry Thomas. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.
