RUTH Z. SIRON FISHERSVILLE, VA… Ruth (Zimmerman) Siron, 79, wife of Glenn Eugene Siron, of Fishersville, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016. She was born on September 5, 1936 in Doe Hill, Highland County, Virginia, a daughter of the late Frank H. and Rosy (Simmons) Zimmerman.In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Karen Siron and her husband, Greg Warnock, of Ft. Defiance and Lorna LaFollette and her husband, Michael, of York, SC; two grandchildren, Kendall and Chad LaFollette; and a brother, Paul Zimmerman of Churchville.Prior to retirement, Ruth was a teller for Planters Bank in Staunton.  She enjoyed traveling, her vegetable and flower gardens, canning and cooking, and was an accomplished seamstress.  Her days of volunteering at Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church brought her great joy.  She found the greatest blessings in her life by being a wife to Glenn, with whom she shared a devoted marriage of 61 years, a mother to her daughters, and a grandmother to her children.  She gave her time and lovely spirit to everyone she encountered.  She had a beautiful and purposeful life. A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m., Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery by Rev. Dr. Tulley J. Hunter and Rev. Merle L. Fisher. A memorial service will follow the burial in the church at 4 p.m.  The family will receive friends following the memorial service in the church social hall. Memorial donations may be made to Preston Yancy Volunteer Fire Department, 2015 Jefferson Highway, Fishersville, VA  22939 or Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church, General Fund, 30 Tinkling Spring Drive, Fishersville, VA   22939.
