Rachel F. Conner

Rachel Eveline (Fitzgerald) Conner, 91, widow of Erman Fairley Conner, of Greenville, died Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Shenandoah House of Augusta Health.

She was born July 8, 1928 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Woody and Viola (Painter) Fitzgerald.

Family members include three sons, Glenn S., Thomas H., and Gale F. Conner; a daughter, Sylvia Fielding; a brother, Ernest Fitzgerald; two sisters, Becky Rankin and Ruth Cook; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Charlie, Lloyd, and Donald Fitzgerald; and three sisters, Myrtle Peters, Alma Rickman, and Betty Fitzgerald.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2019 in Augusta Memorial Park by David Hayes.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2019 in the Henry Funeral Home.
